"I train...not for the podium. Not for the medals. Not for the status.
I train for me.
For the passion. For the desire. For the knowledge that I will:
Learn from yesterday. Live for today.... Never give up."

This is great, love it. Along this theme, I often will have another thought while logging those long miles in the saddle. The thought is based on the premise of time spent exercising will extend your lifespan. I think about time with my kids and all that will follow, and how much I cherish the time. So if I can extend that time a few months or years by investing with exercise, then I see it as a win-win no brainer. I cherish the time on this earth - especially when spent with family, friends, and fellow athletes; therefore, I do it for myself and those I love as well.
